Day 2: The Drift

Yesterday, I laid out the basic shape of the world and how its a bunch of continents floating in the sea of enigma. Now I’ll talk about the namesake of the world.

The Drift is a cataclysmic event that causes all of the continents to shift positions within the enigma. The shift happens fast, usually only lasting an hour or two, and the result is a random placement of the continents. This means whenever a shift happens, each continent has new neighbors and cultural relations that evolve with the new layout. The interval at which these drifts happen is not fixed, and the cause of them… will be revealed in a future post!
