To celebrate 10 days of my posts, I wanted to talk about a faction within the world for the first time. One of the first things I ever came up with for this world was the “Amalgym Empire” They are an faction of humans that have existed nearly as long as the world has. They were founded by Mojebrahimad. He preached to anyone he could find that before the creation of the world, every living being existed as one super entity he called Totality. Due to a mistake by the gods, people, plants, animals, and everything else was seperated into what we know them as today. He believed he was chosen by the gods to return life to the Totality.
During his time in the world, he amassed a sizable number of followers. Their main activity was using magic they developed to combine members of the empire with anything they could find. In the early years, these would result in grotesque failures that rarely survived the process, but in the later years of his life, Mojebrahimad oversaw the successful combination of humans with many other animals. Mojebrahimad, in his later years, gave on last speech to his followers about continuing his research and to bring humanity to totality. He then disappeared from the world, but not before swearing to return when totality was ready to be achieved.
The Amalgym Empire survived and even thrived in his absence, creating entire new races of beast folk that inhabit The Enigma Drift to this day. The golden age has passed though and today the Amalgym empire is more of a small secretive cult than a large public empire. Their members still believe that totality will come one day, but how close they are to achieving it is not known by anyone outside the organization.
Tomorrow, I will create a timeline talking about everything I have covered in the 10 days so far to further contextualize this and everything else. I will try and add to this timeline every 10 days.
